Deputies busted a trio of convicted felons — Sara Lynn Landis, 29; Michael Paul Anderson, 31, and Adam James Shartle, 27, — with a combined total of 48 bookings and 105 records, for stealing $545 in shoes from Kohl’s in Port Charlotte on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Kohl’s security notified deputies that the three were observed stealing seven pair of shoes and putting them in the baby stroller with Landis’18-month-old baby boy.
As they exited the store security who tried to stop them. They headed to a Ford Taurus and security saw Landis jerk the baby from his stroller which caused him cry before tossing him through the driver side window — where there was no one to catch him, the report stated.
The security officer reportedly yelled at Landis to stop hurting the child.
That’s when Shartle allegedly got out of the car and threw a pair of shoes which struck the security worker in the head. DUCK, BOB & WEAVE! LOL
Moments later, deputies located the Taurus. Shartle was wearing a pair of the stolen Nike shoes.
All three were booked into the slammer; the baby was released to the child’s grandmother in North Port.
Landis and Anderson were both charged with Grand Theft and Resisting a Merchant During Retail Theft. Landis was additionally charged with Child Abuse. Shartle was charged with Battery (DANG, THAT SHOE MUST’VE LEFT A MARK).
I REALLY THINK ALL THREE NEED TO STROLL INTO A NEW PROFESSION!
