Adriene Latrice Ashley, 32, faces a charge of cruelty toward a child after her 16-year-old daughter told police she lit a piece of paper on fire and pushed it through a hole in her bedroom door, setting a chair on fire, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
According to an arrest affidavit, the girl said she was getting ready for school about 7:45 a.m. when her mother came to the door and told her to come out. She said she told her mother she wasn’t ready and Ashley became upset and started yelling.
Her mom also knocked the door knob off before punching a hole in the door, according to an arrest report.
Mom told cops she was afraid her daughter was going to miss her bus and her daughter became verbally abusive toward her, calling her “stupid” and “petty.” so she threw a burning paper into the room to try to get her daughter to come out.
FIRST OF ALL, UNTIL THE DAUGHTER PAYS RENT SHE SHOULDN’T BE LOCKING ANY DOORS! WHY USE FIRE?? SHE LOOKS ‘STURDY’ ENOUGH TO KNOCK THE DOOR DOWN!
