PORT ST. LUCIE — A 25-year-old woman and her 21-year-old boyfriend were arrested Tuesday after being accused of a confrontation with the woman’s ex-boyfriend at a barber shop where he works, according to affidavits released Wednesday and a police spokesman.
The man whoPort St. Lucie police identified as the victim told investigators his ex-girlfriend, Natalie Belony, and her new boyfriend, Josue Dubreus, showed up where he works on Southwest Bayshore Boulevard and started an argument. The incident happened shortly after 4 p.m.
The victim’s workplace is a barber shop, OfficerTom Nichols, police spokesman, said Wednesday.
Belony, 25, is accused of smacking the 37-year-old victim and grabbing him by the throat. When the victim tried to get Belony off him, Dubreus grew angry and put the victim in a head lock, saying, “I am going to get a gun,” reports state.
Dubreus, 21, and Belony went to their car, and the victim said not to come back.
Dubreus went to the trunk and said, “I have a gun,” police said. He pulled a black tire iron, holding it as if he were holding a rifle. The victim thought it was a gun and called 911.
While Belony and Dubreus were in the store, Belony’s 1-year-old son was left unattended in the vehicle.
